Key points
Syndromic surveillance
- In week 35, emergency department visits and SOS Médecins consultations remained stable compared with the previous week in all age groups, except for SOS Médecins consultations in the under-15 age group (+11.7%), as expected at the end of the summer holidays.
- After falling last week, SOS Médecins consultations for pertussis (whooping cough) were once again on the rise among people aged 15-64 years. - After falling sharply in week 34, the number of consultations for hyperthermia/heatstroke increased in week 35 in all age groups, in emergency departments and within the SOS Médecins network.
Surveillance of emergency medical services
- In week 35, the daily number of calls to the emergency medical services (SAMU) remained within the volumes expected across all SAMUs.
Wastewater surveillance
- The upward trend in the level of SARS-CoV-2 circulation continued in week 35, although disparities in the situation remain (stabilising in Île-de-France and rising in Centre-Val de Loire).
