Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases are the second leading cause of death among women and the leading cause of postpartum maternal mortality in France. Certain pregnancy complications increase women’s cardiovascular risk throughout their lives. Prevention is essential.

Our Mission

  • To conduct epidemiological surveillance of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in women during and after pregnancy

  • Promote prevention and screening initiatives to reduce the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in women

  • Improving health literacy and informing women about their cardiovascular risk at different stages of life
