Human papillomavirus infections

Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is a sexually transmitted infection caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). The infection is usually asymptomatic and clears up within a few months. In some cases, the virus can persist and lead to anogenital cancers and cancers of the head and neck.
