SOS Médecins National Newsletter, October 5, 2010

Over the past week, the total volume of activity at SOS Médecins clinics has increased across all age groups, except among children under two years of age. This increase in activity is primarily observed in the Île-de-France region and in the western and northern regions of France.

After an increase observed over the previous three weeks, the "Asthma" and "Bronchiolitis and Respiratory Diseases in Infants" indicators are decreasing.

The "gastroenteritis" indicator has been rising steadily for the past three weeks. This increase is most pronounced in the Centre/Ile-de-France region.

In addition, there has been a slight increase in calls regarding fever among those aged 2–14 and 15–74. There has also been a rise in clinical influenza diagnoses and calls regarding flu-like symptoms (graphs not shown here).
