A health education program to improve sleep among older adults.

Insomnia or disrupted sleep is not inevitable. A health education program was conducted with a group of people over 60 by the Sleep Center at Hôtel-Dieu Hospital in Paris. It helped these individuals increase their total sleep time, reduce the time it took them to fall asleep, and decrease the number of times they woke up during the night. The majority of these individuals reported that their sleep quality had improved following the program, and they felt more energetic upon waking.
