Epidemiological Surveillance in the Pays de la Loire Region. Update as of April 29, 2015.

Over the past week in the region:

  • The number of allergy diagnoses by SOS Médecins has been rising for the past two weeks, coinciding with the start of pollen season. No particular impact has been noted on visits for asthma attacks.

  • End of winter outbreaks. In particular, the number of gastroenteritis diagnoses has fallen below the epidemic threshold for the second consecutive week.

  • The number of emergency room visits and deaths among the elderly has fallen back below the alert threshold.

  • Pending the summer season and its specific epidemiological characteristics (viral meningitis, heat-related illnesses, etc.), this "Epidemiological Update" will be released every two weeks.
