Key Points

Oscour® Network Emergency Department Visit Indicators:

  • Among adults of all ages, the number of emergency room visits for psychological disorders in January and February 2022 was higher than in 2021, but lower than the monthly average observed over the 2018–2020 period. The indicator is currently stable.

  • Among children of all ages, the number of emergency department visits for psychological disorders increased in January–February 2022 compared to the previous two months. Furthermore, the number of visits in February 2022 was higher than in January–February 2021, as well as during the non-pandemic period of 2018–2020. This indicator is currently on the rise.

  • The increase in emergency department visits for suicidal ideation among children aged 11 to 17 continues.

Indicators from the CoviPrev survey of the adult population in waves 31–32 (Jan. 11–Feb. 14, 2022):

  • The monitored mental health indicators show no notable change in reports for January and February 2022. There is a non-significant increase in reported depressive states and a non-significant decrease in reported suicidal thoughts among survey respondents.

  • The latest waves of the COVIPREV survey (waves 31 and 32) show no notable changes in the region.

  • No statistically significant changes in these indicators are currently observed.
