In the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, a call center was opened in 2006 at the initiative of the Institute of Occupational Health in Northern France, in partnership with the Lille Regional University Hospital. It provides information to anyone facing health issues that make it difficult to remain in or return to employment. Two nurse counselors refer callers to the appropriate professionals and services.
