Key Points

COVID-19

  • Oscour®: In week 22 of 2023, the number of emergency room visits for COVID-19 decreased (51 visits compared to 79 in week 21 of 2023), representing 0.2% of total activity;

  • SOS Médecins: In week 22 of 2023, the number of SOS Médecins consultations for COVID-19 continued to decline (49 consultations compared to 61 in week 21 of 2023), representing 0.7% of the activity of SOS Médecins associations in the region.

Arthropod bites

  • Oscour®: In week 22-2023, the number of visits and the share of activity related to arthropod bites and other venomous or non-venomous animals remained stable in the region’s emergency departments compared to the previous week.

  • SOS Médecins: In week 22-2023, the number of consultations and the share of activity related to insect bites at SOS Médecins associations in the region increased compared to the previous week.

Allergies

  • Oscour®: In week 22 of 2023, the number of emergency room visits related to allergies increased compared to the previous week (316 visits vs. 243 in week 21 of 2023). The proportion of cases is 1.2%, which is in line with seasonal expectations.

  • SOS Médecins: In week 22-2023, the number of consultations for allergies rose sharply compared to previous weeks (682 consultations vs. 428 in week 21-2023). The share of activity for SOS Médecins associations in the region is 9%, which is higher than that observed during the same period in the two previous years.
