Key Points

COVID-19

  • In week 14 of 2023, the incidence rate began to decline (115 cases per 100,000 inhabitants);

  • The incidence rate remains stable or is decreasing across all age groups, except for those aged 70–79, where it is increasing slightly. The lowest incidence rate is observed among those aged 0–9 (24 cases per 100,000 inhabitants). The highest incidence rate is observed among those aged 80 and older (215 cases per 100,000 inhabitants);

  • Departmental incidence rates are stable in 5 departments (Ardennes, Marne, Haute-Marne, Moselle, and Vosges), increasing in 3 departments (Aube, Meurthe-et-Moselle, and Meuse), and decreasing in the remaining 2 (Bas-Rhin and Haut-Rhin). The highest incidence rate is observed in Meurthe-et-Moselle (154 cases per 100,000 inhabitants) and the lowest in Haute-Marne (55 cases per 100,000 inhabitants).

  • The positivity rate (21%) is stable compared to the previous week;

  • The testing rate is 552 tests per 100,000 inhabitants in week 14 of 2023; it is declining across all age groups.

Influenza and Influenza-Like Illnesses

  • OSCOUR®: In week 14-2023, the number of emergency department visits for influenza-like illness, across all ages, has continued to decline for several weeks (104 compared to 142 in week 13-2023). The proportion of cases is also decreasing, with 0.45% of emergency department visits related to influenza.

  • SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for flu-like illness, across all age groups, is down compared to the previous week (449 consultations versus 499 in Week 13 of 2023), representing 6.1% of total activity.

Acute Gastroenteritis

  • Oscour®: The number of emergency department visits for acute gastroenteritis (AGE), all ages, is stable compared to the previous week, with 272 visits in Week 14 of 2023, representing 1.2% of total activity.

  • SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for acute gastroenteritis (AGEs), all ages, fluctuates slightly but has remained generally stable in recent weeks, with 548 visits (compared to 586 in Week 13 of 2023), representing a 7.5% share of activity.
