As of August 4, 2026, seven departments remain under an orange heat wave alert (Ain, Ardèche, Drôme, Isère, Rhône, Savoie, and Haute-Savoie).
- Since July 29, the values of the iCanicule composite health indicator (which includes cases of hyperthermia, dehydration, and hyponatremia) have remained stable at relatively low levels, below those observed during the two previous heat waves.
