Reportable Diseases in 1994. Reporting of Information to the Directorate General of Health
In 1994, the reporting procedures to the Directorate General of Health remained unchanged from previous years (see B.E.H. No. 47/1994). The following results were therefore collected under conditions similar to those that led to the 1993 annual summary. However, it should be noted that the completeness of mandatory reporting varies by disease. This surveillance system is only one component among others, and the interpretation of the results requires a degree of caution. While it is sometimes possible to assume that the results of the mandatory reporting (M.R.) for certain diseases reflect reality, for others, the trends detected must be interpreted in light of other surveillance systems such as networks of general practitioners or laboratories and national reference centers.
