1,448 samples from 15 regions/territories in mainland France and overseas territories (37.4% of the 3,867 positive cases reported today).
The following variants of concern were detected among the samples:
In mainland France:
75.8% of 21A variants (Delta, B.1.617.2, first identified in India)
18.2% of 20I variants (Alpha, V1, B.1.1.7, first identified in the United Kingdom)
1.6% of 20H variants (Beta, V2, B.1.351, first identified in South Africa)
1.5% of 20J variants (Gamma, V3, P.1, first identified in Brazil)
1.3% of 20I/484K variants (B.1.1.7 + E484K, first identified in the United Kingdom)
In the Overseas Territories:
In Guadeloupe: sample sizes too small to produce interpretable results; however, the Alpha and Delta variants have been detected
In Martinique: 94.2% Alpha variants and 4.2% Delta variants
In French Guiana: no samples included
In Réunion: 100% Beta variants
In Mayotte: no samples included
