How is the French public’s adherence to COVID-19 prevention measures changing? Results from Wave 35 of the CoviPrev survey

Key indicators of preventive behaviors among the French population during Wave 35 (September 12–19, 2022) and comparison with the previous wave (May 9–16, 2022)

  • 49% of participants at risk of severe forms of influenza due to their age (≥ 65 years) or underlying health conditions (comorbidities, obesity) report wanting to receive the flu and COVID-19 vaccines.

  • 63% (+14%) of respondents report adhering less strictly to preventive measures than at the start of the pandemic.

  • 58% (+14%) of respondents say they wear a mask less often or no longer wear one in the presence of elderly, frail, or vulnerable people.

  • 13% (=) of respondents say they have not been vaccinated against COVID-19.
