The effects of lockdown on children’s development remain difficult to assess
Studies suggest that the pandemic has not hindered children’s neurological development. However, some research indicates communication difficulties among infants born during this period. Similarly, parental anxiety has had a greater impact on the quality of parent-child interactions in low-income families, who face greater daily challenges.
