Employers must ensure that the workplace does not encourage smoking [Interview]

The Grand Est Regional Health Agency (ARS) has been implementing a “Smoke-Free Administration” initiative since 2020, complete with an evaluation system. Several initiatives are offered to employees, free of charge and during work hours: consultations with professionals, conferences, and social events, such as the “alternative break.” The main challenge is to work toward “denormalizing” tobacco use without stigmatizing the smokers involved in the process.
