Key Points

COVID-19

  • A sharp decline in viral circulation at the regional level, as measured by biological indicators.

  • Stabilization or decline in other indicators monitored as part of this surveillance

Bronchiolitis

  • 10th week of the epidemic. Epidemic peak reached in week 48.

  • Emergency departments: at the regional level, the number and proportion of visits for bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age are declining. The proportion of hospitalizations remains stable. These trends are observed in all departments except in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence (indicators have stabilized).

  • SOS Médecins: The number and proportion of consultations for bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age are on the rise. This trend is observed in all departments

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses

  • 4th week of the epidemic. Indicators are rising sharply.

  • Emergency departments - Emergency department activity related to flu-like syndromes is rising sharply. The peak level of last season’s epidemic has already been exceeded. Nearly half of emergency department visits involve children under 15 (47% of flu-related visits in week 51).

  • SOS Médecins: The proportion of consultations for a diagnosis of flu-like illness is rising sharply. Last year’s epidemic peak has already been reached. In week 51, one-third of consultations involved children under 15.

  • Sentinelles Network: The incidence rate for influenza-like illness reported by the Sentinelles Network in week 51, which has not yet been finalized, is stable: 454 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [329; 579]).

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Emergency departments: low activity

  • SOS Médecins associations: low activity

  • Sentinelles Network: low activity
