Nantes: A Network-Based Approach to Promoting Health.

As a member of the WHO Healthy Cities initiative, the city of Nantes has established a local health promotion network. The mental health network brings together healthcare professionals and social housing providers to help isolated individuals with mental health issues gain access to housing. Another network has been set up to address youth health. Finally, the city has established a council for people with disabilities, which works to improve accessibility to public spaces and employment, with the participation of users, as explained by the city’s medical director, Hélène Lepoivre.
