Analysis of the epidemiological situation

No local transmission of dengue (since July 2013) or chikungunya (since September 2010) has been identified through surveillance. Furthermore, no locally acquired cases of dengue or chikungunya have been reported recently in countries near the Indian Ocean region. The epidemiological situation therefore remains at Alert Level 1A of the arbovirus control plan (“Absence of cases or occurrence of isolated cases unrelated to an outbreak in the regional exchange zone”).
