Epidemiological Situation

Since June, there has been an increase in visits for flu-like symptoms at primary care clinics and emergency departments, accompanied by an increase in the number of influenza viruses identified in Réunion. Over the past two weeks, there has been a slight decrease in these indicators, although they remain above seasonal averages. Since the start of the outbreak, three patients with confirmed severe influenza have been admitted to the intensive care unit and have been discharged with a favorable prognosis.
