Dengue Situation in Réunion. Epidemiological Update as of June 20, 2013.

Epidemiological Situation

The emergence of new cases in the municipality of Etang Salé indicates that the dengue virus continues to circulate locally in this part of the island. Furthermore, mosquito density remains conducive to the persistence of viral circulation and/or the establishment of new transmission chains. Therefore, the public must remain vigilant to combat the vector, and healthcare professionals must remain alert to identifying cases. Alert Level 2A remains in effect: "Identification of a cluster of local cases."
