Dengue Situation in Mayotte. Epidemiological Update as of October 2, 2014.

Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

The number of identified dengue cases and the positivity rate of tests conducted have been very low since mid-July, confirming that the dengue epidemic in Mayotte has ended. However, the detection of sporadic cases during the month of September indicates that the virus continues to circulate on the island. The highest level of vigilance must be maintained to limit the risk of a new outbreak, particularly with the onset of the rainy season.
