Dengue Situation in Mayotte. Epidemiological Update as of May 28, 2014.
Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation
The number of confirmed dengue cases continues to rise in week 21. Outbreaks remain active in the municipalities of Mamoudzou, Dzaoudzi, and Pamandzi. A new outbreak has been identified in the municipality of Bandraboua. The occurrence of isolated cases in new villages raises concerns about an intensification of virus transmission and the emergence of new outbreaks. The highest level of vigilance must be maintained to limit the risk of the situation escalating into a widespread epidemic across the entire country.
