Dengue Situation in Mayotte. Epidemiological Update as of June 4, 2014.
Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation
The number of confirmed dengue cases continues to rise in Mayotte. Outbreaks remain active in the municipalities of Mamoudzou, Dzaoudzi, Pamandzi, and Koungou. The occurrence of isolated cases outside known outbreak areas raises concerns about increased virus transmission and the emergence of new outbreaks. The highest level of vigilance must be maintained to limit the risk of the situation escalating into a widespread epidemic across the entire territory.
