Dengue Situation in Mayotte. Epidemiological Update as of August 27, 2014.

Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

The monitored epidemiological indicators (weekly number of biologically confirmed dengue cases and positivity rate) remain very low in August, with only sporadic cases identified, suggesting very low viral circulation on the island. The highest level of vigilance must be maintained to limit the risk of a renewed increase in circulation during the rainy season, or in the event of the virus being reintroduced as the school holidays come to an end.
