COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for Mayotte as of March 24, 2022

Key Points

Although the number of confirmed cases increased by 10% between weeks 10 and 11, the circulation of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19, is very low in our region. In fact, the incidence rate, which was 16.5 per 100,000 residents in week 11, has remained below 30 cases per 100,000 residents over the past 6 weeks.

Furthermore, there are currently no patients hospitalized at the CHM for COVID-19, and the last admission was three weeks ago.
