Health Surveillance in Languedoc-Roussillon. Epidemiological Update as of November 7, 2013.

Key Points

  • Bronchiolitis: low activity in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, although the epidemic has begun when considering national data; the epidemic is more active in the northern regions of France, as is usually observed;

  • Influenza / Influenza-like illnesses: low activity in the Languedoc-Roussillon region and in France; however, a few sporadic cases have been reported in outpatient settings. A first severe case was reported in week 45 in the region in an unvaccinated individual. Other influenza surveillance indicators do not suggest any particular circulation of influenza viruses in the region.

  • Gastroenteritis: low activity in the Languedoc-Roussillon region and in France.
