Health Effects of Urban Air Pollution in France: Report Published on the 9 French Cities That Participated in the Aphekom Study

Nine French cities participated in the European Aphekom project, which assessed the health and economic impact of urban air pollution in 25 European cities. In addition to the project’s findings released in 2011, the InVS has published a report specific to these nine French cities. The results show that the pollution levels currently observed in these cities have a significant impact on residents’ health. They confirm that efforts to implement public policies aimed at improving air quality must continue.
