Health Monitoring in the Normandy Region. Update as of January 5, 2023.

Key Points

COVID-19

  • In Week 52, virological indicators (TI, TP, and TD) continued to decline in Normandy. Indicators of pre-hospital care utilization were decreasing for SOS Médecins and for emergency department visits. A decrease was also observed for hospital indicators, except for the number of patients hospitalized in critical care units, where an increase was noted.

Bronchiolitis

  • Epidemic phase.

  • Continued decline in all indicators in emergency departments (hospitalizations and visits) for the fourth consecutive week, associated with a slight increase in the number of consultations at SOS Médecins.

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses

  • Epidemic phase.

  • Decrease in all indicators for influenza-like illness across all age groups for the first week, though levels remain high.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Increase in consultations at SOS Médecin, though at a level comparable to the 2021–2022 season, and a slight rise—albeit from a low baseline—in the number of emergency department visits.
