In the Île-de-France region, week 07 remains marked by the seasonal flu epidemic for the ninth consecutive week. While visits to hospital emergency departments have begun to decline over the past two weeks, visits to primary care providers for flu-like symptoms increased again in Week 07 and remain at a level significantly higher than in the previous three years. Nine severe cases of influenza were reported for Week 07, bringing the total number of severe influenza cases treated in intensive care since the start of surveillance to 67.
