COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for the Île-de-France Region as of August 25, 2022

  • The BA.4 and BA.5 sublineages of the Omicron variant have been dominant in Île-de-France for nine weeks, and their proportion appeared to be stabilizing.

  • Use of primary care and emergency services for “suspected COVID-19” was decreasing.

  • The number of new hospitalizations, the number of new admissions to critical care, and the number of hospital deaths related to COVID-19 were decreasing.

  • The number of new COVID-19 cases reported by healthcare facilities remained stable, while the total number of new reported cases was decreasing.
