Key indicators

Virological Surveillance

  • The number of positive tests was slightly lower in week 14 compared to the previous week in both hospital and private laboratories.

  • LABM (3 labs): 39.1% positive tests in Week 14 (44.8% in Week 13)

  • Hospital laboratories: 43.5% of tests were positive in week 14

Community Surveillance

  • SOS Médecins: Decrease in the rate of procedures for suspected COVID-19 per 10,000 procedures: 2,517/10,000 in week 14 (2,985 in week 13)

  • Sentinelles Network: Decrease in the number of (telemedicine) consultations for acute respiratory infections in week 14; 538 per 100,000 inhabitants (797 per 100,000 inhabitants in week 13)

Surveillance in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes

  • 9,773 cases, including 1,589 deaths reported as of April 7, 2020

Hospital surveillance

  • Oscour® Network: Slight decrease in the rate of visits for suspected COVID-19 per 10,000 visits, with 3,060 per 10,000 visits in week 14 (3,263 per 10,000 in week 13)

  • Sentinel intensive care units: 36.3% of cases aged 65 and older and 75.4% of cases with at least one risk factor

Mortality surveillance

  • Significant increase in all-cause deaths across all departments in the region
