Paris: A special program to combat lead poisoning in children.

Given its large stock of older buildings with lead-based paint in their homes, the City of Paris has, for the past thirty years, implemented a specific program to combat lead poisoning, particularly among children. On the front lines, the Maternal and Child Health Services (PMI) conduct screenings, including home visits; they then take the necessary steps to limit lead exposure among the affected populations.
