Health Surveillance in the Alsace Region. Epidemiological Update as of July 4, 2012

Key Findings

  • An increase in the number of allergy diagnoses was observed in week 26 by the SOS Médecins association in Strasbourg. This trend is not evident for the association in Mulhouse.

  • According to the National Aerobiological Surveillance Network (RNSA), grass pollen levels in Strasbourg remain steady, with allergy risk at a moderate level.

  • In week 26, an increase in the number of heatstroke diagnoses was observed for both associations in Alsace. On June 29 and 30, nighttime temperatures were close to 19°C, and daytime temperatures exceeded 30°C in both departments.
