COVID-19

In Week 46 of 2022, increased circulation of SARS-CoV-2 in the Grand Est region (since incidence data have been incomplete since Week 44, they should be interpreted with caution):

  • Increase in incidence across all age groups

  • Increase in the number of new hospitalizations across all departments and stability in critical care admissions compared to Week 45 of 2022

  • Stabilization in the number of emergency room visits for COVID-19 but a decrease in the number of COVID-19 consultations at SOS Médecins clinics in the region

Bronchiolitis

  • OSCOUR®: In week 46 of 2022, the proportion of activity related to bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age in emergency departments is increasing. It stands at 29%, or 559 visits. The proportion of hospitalizations for bronchiolitis among all hospitalizations following an emergency department visit is 60% in week 46 of 2022

  • SOS Médecins: In week 46 of 2022, the proportion of SOS Médecins’ activity related to bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age is 16%, an increase compared to week 45 of 2022

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses

  • OSCOUR®: The number of emergency department visits for influenza-like illness, all ages, increased in week 46 of 2022 compared to the previous week (52 versus 36 in week 45 of 2022). The proportion of cases remains below 0.5%

  • SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for flu-like illness, all ages, is up compared to the previous week (255 consultations versus 189 in week 45 of 2022), representing 3.4% of total activity
