In Week 50, the incidence rate rose slightly to 45.1 per 100,000 people, with the positivity rate dropping slightly to 3.4%, compared to 42.5 per 100,000 people and 3.6% in Week 49.

Winter illnesses:

  • Flu:

    • no flu activity

    • no virus detected in week 50

  • gastroenteritis: activity lower than in previous years

    • increase in the number of emergency room visits (49 visits) and the associated visit rate compared to the previous week. Children under 5 account for 28.6% of cases.

    • Slight increase in the number of SOS Médecins consultations compared to the previous week (76 weekly consultations).

  • Bronchiolitis: low activity, lower than in previous years

    • Increase in the number of emergency room visits compared to the previous week. Bronchiolitis accounts for 3.6% of emergency room visits among children under 2 years of age in week 50.

    • Indicators have stabilized compared to the previous week. Bronchiolitis accounted for 4.9% of SOS Médecins consultations among children under 2 years of age in week 50.
