G-GrippeNet: A New Component of the GrippeNet.fr Surveillance SystemFor the 2014–2015 season, and for the first time in Europe, influenza surveillance is being conducted not only in the general population but also in a specific population group: pregnant women. This part of the project is called G-GrippeNet (https://www.grippenet.fr/fr/g-grippenet/). It operates on the same principle as GrippeNet.fr. G-GrippeNet allows you to actively participate in influenza surveillance in France on a voluntary, anonymous, and unpaid basis. The data collected will help advance influenza research to better protect pregnant women and their babies. All pregnant women residing in mainland France can participate in G-GrippeNet for as long as they wish. Participating in the study takes no more than 5 minutes per week. More than a hundred women have signed up (see figure below). Spread the word!
