Situation in Rhône-Alpes

  • Acute diarrhea: The Sentinelles network reports moderate activity, with incidence rates of 110 and 118 cases per 100,000 inhabitants for weeks 39 and 40 (September 24–October 7, 2012), while SOS Médecins associations have observed a marked increase in diagnoses of gastroenteritis.

  • Nasopharyngitis: The number of consultations through SOS Médecins for nasopharyngitis has risen sharply over the past two weeks. Viral circulation, particularly of picornaviruses, is very active. Flu-like episodes have already been reported.

  • Chickenpox: In the region, activity is considered low, but cases have nevertheless been identified, allowing for an incidence rate of 14 cases per 100,000 inhabitants to be calculated.
