COVID-19

Continued increase in SARS-CoV-2 transmission and rise in COVID-19 healthcare utilization in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes during week 45.

  • The regional incidence rate has risen for the fifth consecutive week: 130 per 100,000 inhabitants in week 45 (+53%)

  • The increase affects all age groups except those over 90 and all departments in the region, particularly Ardèche

  • SOS-Médecins calls and emergency room visits have increased by 62% and 32%, respectively, while new hospitalizations and new admissions to intensive care units have risen by approximately 25%

  • COVID-19 vaccination coverage is rising slightly: at least 1 dose (77.0%, +0.3 percentage points), full course (75.5%, +0.3 percentage points), booster dose (7.1%, +1.3 percentage points).

  • Gastroenteritis:

    • Regional trends: on the rise

    • in hospital settings (Oscour® network emergency facilities): moderate activity

    • in private practice (SOS Médecins associations): moderate activity

  • Bronchiolitis: 5th week of the epidemic

  • Flu:

    • baseline levels of surveillance indicators (emergency department visits and SOS Médecins interventions for flu-like illness)

    • detection of sporadic cases of confirmed influenza A in S44.
