Hospital indicators—new hospitalizations, the number of people hospitalized for COVID-19, SOS Médecins calls, emergency room visits, and cases in long-term care facilities—are increasing this week.
Bronchiolitis

In hospital settings, according to data provided by emergency departments in the Oscour® network, emergency room visits for bronchiolitis are on the rise. The share of hospital activity for bronchiolitis has increased by 6 percentage points compared to the previous week. Hospitalizations for a diagnosis of bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes are on the rise in Week 46 compared to previous weeks. The hospitalization rate remains constant.
In Week 46, 969 emergency department visits for bronchiolitis were recorded, representing 26.6% of visits in this age group (vs. 20.5% in Week 45). Of these visits, 356 were followed by hospitalization, representing a hospitalization rate of 36.7% for this diagnosis (vs. 35.9% in Week 45). Hospitalizations for bronchiolitis accounted for 57.2% of all hospitalizations in this age group in Week 46 (vs. 47.8% in Week 45).
