Key Points

COVID-19

  • In Week 21, the decline in SARS-CoV-2 circulation and hospital indicators continues throughout the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The impact on hospitals is now more limited, with 253 new COVID-19 admissions, including 26 in intensive care, in the region during Week 21.

Chikungunya, dengue, Zika

  • Since the start of enhanced surveillance and through June 1, 2022, four confirmed cases of dengue have been reported, imported from Réunion, Cameroon, Congo, and Côte d’Ivoire. No cases of chikungunya or Zika have been identified this season in the region.

  • The Rhône-Alpes EID was called upon at 11 locations visited by reported viremic cases. A case-based investigation identified the presence of adult mosquitoes, for which adulticide treatment was carried out in Haute-Savoie.

Monkeypox

  • 2 confirmed cases in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
