SOS Médecins: 863 cases of suspected COVID-19 per 10,000 in S16 (1,416/10,000 in S15)
Sentinelles Network: 108 consultations for acute respiratory infections per 100,000 inhabitants in S16 (143/100,000 in S15)
Community laboratories: 12% positive test results in S16 (16% in S15)
Surveillance in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes
10,478 cases (residents and staff), including 1,212 deaths reported as of April 22, 2020
Hospital surveillance
Oscour® network: 709 visits for suspected COVID-19 per 10,000 in Week 16 (1,174 per 10,000 in Week 15)
Hospital laboratories: 11% of tests positive in Week 16 (17% in Week 15)
SI-VIC: 2,816 people hospitalized, including 516 in intensive care as of April 22, 2020
Sentinel intensive care units: 58% of cases aged 65 and older; nearly 3 out of 4 patients are men; 71% have ARDS; 60% of cases have at least one risk factor.
Mortality surveillance
Significant increase in excess mortality from all causes in week 15 (+38%)
67% of those who died in the hospital are over 80 years old.
