Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

In Saint Martin, chikungunya virus circulation is moderate. This community remains in Phase 2 of the Psage*: Moderate local transmission. In Saint-Barthélemy, following the decline in viral circulation observed between March and mid-May—which led to the territory being placed in Phase 2 of the Psage—epidemiological indicators suggest a resurgence of chikungunya activity, which will need to be clarified in the coming weeks. In Martinique, the epidemic continues, with a noticeable increase in the number of clinically suggestive cases, while other surveillance indicators remain relatively stable. Martinique remains in Phase 3a of the Psage: Epidemic Situation. In Guadeloupe, the epidemic is intensifying significantly: clinically suggestive cases and hospitalizations are rising sharply. This department remains in Phase 3a of the Psage*: Epidemic Situation. In French Guiana, viral circulation is intensifying and new outbreaks are emerging. French Guiana remains in Phase 2 of the Psage*: Moderate Local Transmission*.
