Epidemiological Situation of Influenza in Martinique. Update as of April 12, 2013.

Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

The number of suspected cases seen in private practice has been below the maximum seasonal expectations for three consecutive weeks. This trend is confirmed by the low activity related to flu-like syndromes reported by the SOS Médecins association and the low number of visits to pediatric emergency rooms and hospitalizations following these visits within the MFME. The influenza-like illness epidemic has ended in Martinique. Co-circulation of the Influenza A/H3, A(H1N1)pdm09, and B viruses was observed in Martinique during the 2012–2013 season.
