Epidemiological Situation of Influenza in Guadeloupe. Update as of February 28, 2012.

Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

Over the past two weeks, the increase in the number of influenza-like illnesses seen in general practice reflects the onset of an epidemic. Influenza activity remains moderate and appears to have no impact on emergency department activity.

Identification of circulating subtypes has detected the A(H1N1)pdm09 virus and the seasonal A/H3 virus.

To limit the risk of transmission, wash your hands several times a day with soap or use a hand sanitizer, and when you sneeze or cough, cover your mouth and nose with your sleeve or a disposable tissue. If you have flu-like symptoms, call your primary care physician and contact 15 only in case of an emergency.
