Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

Dengue activity remained very low throughout French Guiana between mid-August and mid-October 2014. During this period, the number of clinically suggestive cases and probable and confirmed cases of dengue remained at stable and low levels, typically observed during the inter-epidemic period. No serotypes were identified during this period in French Guiana. The epidemiological situation for dengue corresponds to Phase 1 of the Psage: "sporadic cases."
