Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

In Saint Martin, viral transmission is declining. In Saint Barthélemy, the circulation of the chikungunya virus remains low. In Martinique, the number of cases seen in private practice is rising again after a decline during the Easter holidays, indicating that the epidemic is continuing. In Guadeloupe, the epidemic has been accelerating for several weeks. In French Guiana, the circulation of the virus remains moderate, although new locally acquired cases are still being identified. A second outbreak has been identified in Cayenne.
