Epidemiological Situation of Chikungunya in the Caribbean. Update as of February 27, 2014.

Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

The chikungunya epidemic continues in Saint Martin; the number of clinically suggestive cases is stabilizing. This community is in phase 3b of the Psage*: widespread epidemic. In Saint-Barthélemy, the outbreak appears to be slowing down. This territory remains in Phase 3a of the Psage* chikungunya system: Epidemic situation. In Martinique, viral circulation is widespread and is beginning to stabilize. Martinique remains in Phase 3a: Epidemic situation. In Guadeloupe, active and moderate viral circulation continues. This department remains in Phase 2a of the Psage*: moderate local transmission. In French Guiana, a transmission cluster has been identified in Kourou. French Guiana has been placed in Phase 2 of the Psage*: moderate local circulation.
