Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

In Guadeloupe, as in Martinique, the chickenpox outbreak continues. In Guadeloupe, the number of emergency room visits for chickenpox appears to be decreasing; however, this downward trend is not clearly observed by sentinel surveillance. In Martinique, sentinel surveillance indicates a stable situation, despite an isolated increase last week in the number of home visits made by SOS Médecins. The scale of these seasonal outbreaks remains moderate at this time.
