Key Points

Chikungunya, Dengue, and Zika 

  • Since enhanced surveillance began on May 1, 2026, 53 imported cases of dengue and 8 imported cases of chikungunya have been identified and investigated in Île-de-France (compared with 89 imported cases of dengue and 113 imported cases of chikungunya during the same period in 2025).

Smallpox B (mpox) 

  • As of June 30, 2026, 104 confirmed cases and 4 probable cases have been identified in Île-de-France (compared to 95 confirmed cases in 2024 and 115 in 2025).

Extreme heat, heat wave 

  • Significant increase in the use of outpatient care (SOS Médecins) and emergency room visits for the iCanicule composite health indicator since the start of the heatwave.
